My name is Aaron Valdez, I grew up in Texas and now live in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I make videos about the internet and television for Wreck & Salvage. I like old film, worn out VHS, digital glitches, Precious Moments statues, Tootsie Roll Pops, warm bus rides, long sleeve shirts, and pull-ups. All of my work is available here.

Good Morning (via Wreck & Salvage on Vimeo) Here’s the end product of a commissioned video I did for Aurora Picture Show. The video was made to play for a group of travel writers visiting Houston and Aurora’s home. They were to be treated to cold cereal and sat down to watch this on the big screen.

I cut the original intro off of this piece. The longer piece starts with the standard GMA intro and then into a brief collage of some of the weirder “this morning on GMA” teasers before going into this musical number. I thought it would be best to ease them into this.

Made using Tivo, Tivo Decoder, MPEG Streamclip, Final Cut Pro, and Soundtrack Pro. Video captured over 2 months, edited in 11 days.
